Chemical flushing
Cleaning chemicals circulated by the system's own pump. Less thorough, roughly half the price, and the proportionate answer on a lightly sludged or newer system. £150–£250. Which one you need
Magnetic filter supply and fitting
An in-line filter on the return to the boiler, catching magnetite and non-magnetic debris. Required under BS 7593:2019 with a new boiler, and worth fitting on any steel system. £150–£250. More on filters and inhibitor
Inhibitor testing and dosing
The cheapest diagnostic available, and the thing that determines whether you need a flush again in five years. Often free or nominal alongside other work.
System diagnosis
