What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, phone number, email if you give one, postcode, and what you tell us about your heating system. We also record which page the enquiry came from, and the date and time.
Who it goes to
One Gas Safe registered engineer covering your postcode. Not several, not a list, not a call centre. We do not sell enquiry data.
Why we're allowed to
You give explicit consent by ticking the box on the form. That's the lawful basis. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any message from us or using the form.
How long we keep it
Twelve months, then deleted. We keep it that long so we can look into complaints about an engineer we referred you to.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with anyone beyond the one engineer.
- We don't add you to a marketing list.
- We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The site sets no cookies at all.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Ask through the form and we'll action it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
The engineer's own handling
Once your details reach the engineer, they become a separate data controller with their own obligations. Their privacy practices are theirs, not ours — though if one misuses your details we want to know, and they'll stop receiving enquiries.
